Wednesdays with Johanna

Dear Readers,

As you know, I took a week long retreat last week to re-evaluate my life in God.

During my week of retreat, I carried a journal with me everywhere - writing down at first, all my mind had wanted to tell me which I have been too busy and distracted to listen to. After which, the silence became more of the norm within me and my soul began to speak to me.

During today's Wednesday with Johanna session, I will post Notes from my Retreat to share with you my journey.

My Life is not Turned Towards God.

HOME TRUTHS.

My body's lack of ease reflects that my life is not turned towards God.

My life seems to be more focused towards those around me towards my relationships. Embodied relationships are essential to my heart and yet, what has happened in the last few years, especially being energetically sensitive and as a soul who has been a classic 'loner' - is that most of my energy has gone towards those I love; with little left energetically at the end or sometimes beginning, of the day for God, let alone for my self.

I am at odds. For at one time recently on this journey, I was living 'free' and I was provided for in ways in which my heart was 'free' to follow the guidance of my soul and which path to follow and I was lonely for embodied friendships and love.

As I moved back 'inside', I began to lose my centered focus on God and as my focus spread more to those around me. And this is where I am at odds - how to be in embodied relationships, close loving and loving relationships, AND have most of this same life focused on God.

To tell you the truth - I am the type of person who loves people AND loves being alone. The more time I am able to spend 'energetically' alone - the more I am able to hear my soul - to feel the joy of my connection with God.

And, yet, I am embodied and relationships with other embodied souls is important to my heart.

The dilemma is that those I love and feel called to serve and be with are, at times, very unconscious. Their unconsciousness which manifests in their behaviours often results in chaos and creates avenues for the darkness to express itself through them.

Years of trying to seek resolution to this particular situation have resulted in my ending up at the Suffering stage in the Purification Process:

This drawing reflects how I am feeling - overwhelmed by energies around me and coming into me. Isolated in my suffering - not true, nevertheless, this is how I perceive myself during these episodes. Curled up because like a child, I am confused as to what is happening and why. I can't 'figure' out what is going on and it causes me to feel helpless - like a child. My heart is in pain with energies of anger, confusion, sadness, pain, overwhelm and grief. The lines on the head represent my 'mind' trying to figure out a way in which to make everything better - make things work. The yellow line around me - or the sacred human - represents the Light surrounding me - which I, in my suffering, often cannot perceive or feel.

Purification is a multilevel phenomenon whose domain can involve every aspect of one’s being – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Which aspect will gain prominence in the course of individual experience cannot be determined in advance or by comparison with others.

The relationship between the outer self or personality and the soul-self and between the personality and the subconscious or unconscious self is a hidden one for the most part, and so what light will reveal as areas in need of healing or directions for growth and expansion will be unique to each embodied being.

What is common to all, however, is the integration that purification furthers, namely, to bring the identity and consciousness of each embodied being into a unity of wholeness within itself and with God.

This unity is based on the harmony of love, and no longer contains those inner elements that create separation from the Divine or from one’s true self.

In relation to the inner life, the action of God's light illuminates consciousness and purifies the body where hidden emotions are often held. As a result, attitudes, motivations, and feelings that were formerly concealed are now exposed to the light of awareness, and things one may have suspected about oneself but never perceived clearly are increasingly revealed.

As part of this revelation, the body itself may also begin to release both physical and emotional impurities, often in a way that allows consciousness to know for the first time the intimate connection between the emotional and the physical. The releasing of formerly bound energies in many cases allows one to sense the positive purpose served by a particular physical limitation or symptom, which is often chosen on the soul level prior to incarnating in order to serve one’s embodied life.

To rise above limitation does not mean
changing the physical conditions of your life.

The Path of Redemption is not a religion, nor a spiritual practice, nor a body of teachings, but rather the way that opens before us, today, as we live, walk, breathe, and go about our lives. This way is opening not due to further education about spiritual matters, but due to an expanding awareness which is based on the incorporation of greater light within the body and mind, and within those areas that have waited so long in darkness and pain for the possibility of healing to take place.

Redemption refers to a spiritual return, and to a making possible once again of something that had been forgotten or lost. It is mankind's next step into the evolutionary wonders of a new consciousness that shall make possible a new world, based on principles that are direct descendants of light's quickening.

Blessings to you, dear Johanna for sharing this intimate part of your journey. My eyes opened a bit wider in reading your description of the struggle in balance between inner and outer self & relationship energies, for it was not ago that this very same subject was brought to my attention after meditation. I am trusting despite the physical limitations that I transition through, layer by layer, more balance will be attained & be evident in my life & those around me. I believe our teachers are all around us many times disguised as pain or challenging relationships.

I hope and trust that healing & wholeness will be as we keep reaching for God over and above our emotional/physical experiences.

In the course of purification, many experience the helplessness of being unable to immediately alter the circumstances and conditions of energies that are purifying.

This helplessness, so intrinsic to the process of purification, offers a choice between protesting, denying, or rebelling against such conditions, or placing them in the embrace of Divine light and love and asking for help with the further clearing out of unwanted energies, thoughts, and emotions.

Blessed Love Dearest.

Yes, I feel many of us, who have much love in our hearts and an great desire to serve God, may also have similar Purification issues of keeping our holiness intact and being 'in the world' so to speak, through our embodied relationships.

I feel, as I perceive you do also - that there is an added extra element of challenges due to our energetic sensitivities. Especially when we are energetically sensitive and our partners, family members, close friends, or even acquaintances, are not, and can often not fathom, what were are going on about when we share we are overwhelmed or taking in too much 'energy'.

There is a special blessing in being able to share my process in such an intimate way. In a way, it is causing my Purification around this issue to be accelerated. I am gladdened to know you are here 'with' me love.

When I disconnect from the energetic and emotional energies (difficult) surrounding my present Purification issue regarding relationships, I am able to see that those who are in my life which I perceive to be a source of chaos and challenging boundary issues - are in my life to help me - help me in remembering the truth of who I am.

This issue, because I have not had, until in my late 40's deep and mutually loving embodied relationships, (I often think of myself in former lives as a mendicant... that should give you a clue of what is needed for me in healing and relationships!) has been awaiting Purification so that I can be in the world, be in relationships and not lose who I am and my holiness.

I am not often able to hold this truth yet - often the energies I take in or am seeking to bring some order to, are my focus - which is why I lose sight of God.

In this drawing (Sacred Human) - i.e. me, has finally fallen to my knees. Letting go of trying to 'figure' out what is going on and how to fix it, I have in the moment, surrendered and I am, in the midst of the energies coming in and leaving me - as well as the pain my heart is in - asking for help.

I have found over the years in this Sacred Process of Healing - Purification Process - that I will go back and forth, from Suffering to Surrender as the Light seeks to Purify my heart, energy body, physical body, and my mind.

With the Teachings of the Purification Process and the wonderful spiritual Messages of the Light as well as the Calendars, I have close to hand at all times, the Light, Literature and Teachings of Julie I need for support through this process.
