In A Time Of Great Sorrows: Respect and Love
Respect and love for a planetary peoples heeding the warnings by those whose lives are given to the study of the planet. Even as this is true, Earth's inhabitants, relying upon those in power to collectively help the planet through climate related tragedies, witness, in powerlessness, horror and sorrow, as the claims of scientists are deemed irrelevant and as 'hoaxes'.
Respect and love for the two journalists killed in the last few weeks for speaking truth to power, Viktoria Marinova, and Mr. Jamal Khashoggi, both brutally murdered, Mr. Khashoggi as he went to gather paperwork for his upcoming marriage, whose life after death is de-humanized once again against the weight of the sale of billions of dollars for weapons of death.
Respect and love for all the children being held in indefinite detention camps. Respect and love for all who live in horror and violence, seeking respite and peace for themselves and those they love, who hear the cries 'build that wall' by those whose lives are relatively safe and peaceful.
Respect and love for all who were in the path of hurricane (then tropical storm) Michael, who in an instant lost everything dear to them, human and material, and for all the animals who died. Blessings and strength for the years of suffering to come as they seek to rebuild lives lost. May their hearts and minds find the strength, fortitude, and faith in the presence of obstacles and sufferings to come.
Respect and love to those who watch and witness the many suffering and are then asked to witness those who govern distract, desecrate, and ignore the sufferings of those who have lost their lives as they once understood them.
Respect and love for all whose lives have been destroyed in the paths of tsunami's, earthquakes, landslides, fires, and volcanoes. Blessings and strength of each soul which endures such sufferings and tragedies.
Respect and love for the suffering who endure apartheid, extra-judicial killings and rapes, and the daily pain of imposed sanctions. Respect and love for those who starve and suffer under hyper-inflation.
Respect and love to the ever increasing population of homeless souls, whose sufferings are increased by those who would shun, shame, and arrest them in their times of hardships and sorrows.
Respect and love for prisoners forced to work for corporations who consume prisoners for profit whilst disregarding their humanity and opportunities for redemption.
Respect and love to all the women and men who have been sexually assaulted who collectively relived their personal horrors as those who govern and those who support those who govern, participated in the mocking of Dr. Christine Ford, accused Dr. Ford and those who bring forth claims of sexual assault of being liars and evil, invalidated the pain of sexual assault victims, shamed those who bring forth claims of sexual assault, claimed that the real victims are not the survivors but those who are accused, and at a rally in Mississippi, collectively, in front of cameras, with the most influential man in power in this country leading the exercise in shaming, mocked the testimony of the woman who came forward with great courage whilst stunningly, the crowds chanted 'lock her up'. (Maggie Haberman, New York Times)
The aforementioned beloved Dear Readers, are some of the energetic realities embodied souls are living in. A time of collective sorrow and pain, being experienced by the few, eventually to be experienced by the many, until all express respect and love for the planet, each other, and all the creatures which live upon this blessed Earth.
Faith in love. Faith in the holiness of the planet. Faith in the wholeness and holiness of each other is what shall unify us and change the collective course of our planetary destiny.
To 'love one another' is the way to heal that which ails us.
with love, Johanna
