"This is what must be understood about doubt – that it is the fertile ground for the creation of faith. That those who struggle with doubt are struggling to find truth and God within themselves at a deeper level than many who, on the surface, seem to have been given a gift of faith.

“Let us recognize that there is no experience more threatening to individuals than to doubt the truth of what they most deeply believe in – to doubt their most securely held values. And so it is often difficult to rest in doubt. Yet, this is precisely what must be done to penetrate to a deeper level of truth within ourselves.

As the Light illuminates the darkness of our soul’s longing, we will not be able to say any longer, “I believe this; I do not believe this.” Increasingly, we will say, “I do not know what I believe.” And we will mean by this that we are traveling through a land of un-knowing where truth becomes a progressive revelation in the midst of doubt while we trust that we will be led further. There are wonderful guides who have gone before us into this land of unknowing, people like Thomas Merton, T.S. Eliot, Thoreau, and many of the Hindu sages and saints of all ages. And yet even with guidance and a lighted path, we will each still experience the darkness and fear that doubt produces until we feel and see the light within ourselves that will illuminate the surrounding darkness forever. No other can do this for us. It is part of God’s chosen plan for Creation and of our individual soul’s plan for the realization of the Spirit within, that we travel through the terrain of doubt into faith that our Spirit may soar in its quest for the heights of truth and oneness with God.”

“Know that there is no right way to God and there is no dead end or wrong turn. Understand that all impasses are only impasses within time and that each eventually results in a breakthrough to a new solution in order to resolve the impasse. There is truly no point in human development, no situation, and no event, that does not foster growth and change, for this is part of God’s plan. Failures occur and mistakes are made, yet all beings grow in light and none are excluded from this appointed path. Therefore, let us learn to be tolerant of those whose paths differ from ours, and to recognize our spiritual family everywhere: in those whom we meet as friends, and in those whom we meet as adversaries. For all are struggling toward the same end, and all inhale the same divine Breath that breathes through us.”

“All comfort may be taken from the thought that there is never a false step in the constantly unfolding consciousness of the Divine. There is never an event or circumstance whose gift of awareness is not totally right for the one who receives it. See, now, Beloved Ones: the gift of changing awareness produced by events that stimulate the unfoldment of Spirit is the gift of the Divine Beloved to each of us, moving toward us now at an ever-increasing rate.

To greet all of life with the sacred trust of one who is willing to encounter each moment with full openness and with an absence of judgment – this is the greatness of each individual. To become so unafraid of truth that we simply experience what is, without judgment, and with a sense of gratitude for the unknown sequence of learning that each moment brings – this is what expands our souls.

All learning in all areas of human endeavor leads to this truth, whether we hear a symphony in the sounds of nature, or see loveliness in the gentle fall of autumn rain, or smile at the beauty of an infant’s smile – or none of these, but rather feel an absence of love in the day’s outpouring of moments and events. In the presence of the consciousness of beauty and also in the presence of pain, there is growth and expansion.

For we are each to become stars in the firmament and jewels in the necklace of heaven. And that which binds us to the starry sky – to planets and galaxies and tiny seeds of corn falling from the husk – that which binds everything is the force of Spirit, holding all in Its loving consciousness, knowing each mind and heart, each pebble and star, and dancing through each. In dancing, it brings us all into knowledge of each other.

Therefore, fear not when judgments and expectations appear to cloud the vision of perfection, for the perfect is, whether we witness it or not. And as we strive toward realization, we engage in a process of letting go of judgment of what “should be” more and more. When we have let go of it altogether, we will see a newly created world - one in which forms sparkle with life and dance in playful surrender to the current animating them. One in which the Tree of Life appears to us in its full meaning and glory and in which we meet the Divine, face to face.”

“Beloved Ones, open your hearts, open your minds, open the skin of your skin, the eyes of your eyes and the ears of your ears, until the innermost core of your being yearns for the light of Spirit. Then and only then will the angelic host descend and speak with one voice into your waiting heart and the Word of God make itself felt from the base of the spine to the top of the head. For the victory of longing over despair is the victory of that which brings the personality to the light of the Divine through the power of the force of love.

There is no one practice that is necessary in this unfoldment other than the practice of loving devotion to the Divine and loving surrender of oneself to the Light. The practice of letting go of self can be done in many ways: through formal meditation or prayer, through service to others and through the consecration of each action of daily life to the will of God. These are the different paths to the One and there shall always remain several, for each being chooses according to his or her soul’s light. The single and only prerequisite on any path for contacting the light within is the desire to know God - the Creator and ground of our being."

“There is a Universe of life to discover, Beloved Ones, of intelligences that are different from ours – both lower and higher in the hierarchy of consciousness. Humanity is pivotal in the Earth’s plan for its own expanding awareness and in the Divine plan for the solar system. But it is not more important than Life itself – the life pervading all equally.

As we reassign the ego to its rightful place as manager of a certain portion of our transactions on the physical plane, we once again move into balance and harmony with all forms of life. We once again feel our affinity with plants and animals and with the Spirit that gives them life, with stars and galaxies and the life that moves within them as well. This, then, is the gift to come, the gift of universal knowing: one life, one breath, one Spirit.

Beloved Ones, this gift is being revealed to us bit by bit even now, for the time of revelation has come. Soon, humankind shall share in the joy of knowing itself to be forever protected and forever loved. Therefore, rest easy, for the dawn of the new is here, and signals of its presence are flashing through our consciousness, awakening us to the glory of true being.”

There is no mystery more profound than this: how God draws us into the web of love that we may share Her joy and Her radiance. There is no mystery more worthy of understanding than the mystery of that love that binds the Universe. For the very atoms of our bodies are bound together by the force of Love, as are the stars within the heavens and the galaxies themselves. There is no limit to the infinite supply of Love flowing from the heart of God, singing of the oneness of all that is, beckoning all who hear to chant the song of unity and of being.

"Alpha and Omega: all peoples, all spiritual traditions, hold this in some form as the image of the Divine – that the Universe is a circle, complete unto itself, and that what appears to have a beginning and an end only seems to do so within the framework of time and space. In reality, there is only ongoingness. For the circle is unbroken and our perceptions of linear time are misconceptions based on the limitations of the concrete mind, limitations based on the idea of separateness. In reality, we have never left the wholeness of the circle. We are at all times joined with the oneness of all that is."

“It is the return to this consciousness of the whole that marks the turning point that lies just ahead in human history. It is the recognition of the relationship between Alpha and Omega, between the creative Source and the indwelling Spirit within matter. This turning point will bring humanity’s consciousness further along the circle of growth to an awareness of the passage home. And we, as children of the Earth and Sky, as children of Alpha and Omega, are to know our greatness as part of the circle of life. We are to experience our presence among the stars as brothers and sister in Light. We are to know the Life that moves within the atom and within ourselves – the divine Life penetrating all. For we are part of the Earth’s plan for rejoining the universal Light, and part of the Creator’s plan for all beings.”

“I AM THAT I AM – the knowledge of Thyself as Light and Love shall
be.”

“Beloved Ones, we are the form that Spirit has created to witness the mystery of life within form and the marriage of Matter and Spirit. We are the awareness of Spirit seeking the Beloved within the material plane. And all that we are and all that we see, teaches us daily that what we choose to ‘do’ in life cannot bring to us the sense of peace and harmony and that deeper sense of knowing that is arrived at only through the experience of being.

Many children of God do not yet understand the difference between being and doing. They feel they do not know how to ‘just be.’ And in truth, though this is the simplest thing once one knows how to do it, the mind does not easily allow this kind of relaxing to take place without protesting that “there is more work to do.” There is more work to do, Beloved Ones, and it is the work of learning to be in the present moment.”

“The dance of life goes on and on and like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, it leads us forward in step with a tune that captivates and set our feet to dancing. In this dance, we become partners with the life-force itself which seeks expression through us. This greatest of all gifts, freely given by Spirit, asks us to take the inner impulse that rises up within us and give it form – not just artistic form, though this is a possibility for many of us, but expressive form in which we joyously share our perception of life with other beings, that they, too, may respond joyfully to life within their own form of expression.

When we lie on our backs staring at the stars on a summer night, we wonder at the nature of that greater Being that has set the stars and planets in their course within the firmament of heaven. We wonder about the importance of humanity in relation to that immense sky. Beloved Ones, we cannot help but wonder, for wonder is part of the natural response of being and of human observation to what surrounds us. Wonder and its twin-sister delight have been entrusted to us as a legacy of Spirit that we may respond to God’s presence from the place of God within our hearts.”

“To act in the consciousness of love, even about the small things in your day, recognizing all circumstances as coming from God and striving to feel the presence of the Divine Being while performing each action – this is to begin to live in the high state of consciousness that is naturally yours.

“Dear ones, the love that you are capable of has been called ‘unconditional,’ and so it is because it places no value on the outer appearance of its object or on conditions that in human terms might limit its expression. It sees only Divine Being expressed within each form, and because of its love for this Being, it is capable of embracing each form and each manifestation as Divine. Be Love, my dear ones. That is your answer.”
