The perception of harmony comes out of an understanding that all of life is held within a common vibration of love, beauty, and holiness, and that within this unity each individual lifestream makes its own contribution to the whole.

Harmony is achieved when each lifestream is most truly itself, and so the work of achieving it has to do with penetrating whatever layers of falseness or untruth may stand in the way of correct perception. The layers of falseness are accumulations of the ego that believes the self to be and needs the self to be something that it really is not. Dismantling the false perception of the self and, subsequently, dismantling the false perception of others, is the most direct path toward the achievement of harmony. For harmony exists eternally in the joining of the essential nature of all beings. It only needs to be rediscovered.

Emotional Factors Limiting The Expression Of Harmony Include:

• Protection of self-interest; need for power and dominance; need to be in control; absence of trust in others; absence of trust in life. 

• Unhealed aspects of rage toward others causing a feeling of being unjustly treated by the world, by others, or by life. 

• Rejection of love and of harmony due to fear of opening the heart more. The possibility for experiencing more love or more oneness with others gives rise to the fear of wounding or rejection due to past experiences of this kind.

• An over investment in the 'will aspect' of life rather than the 'heart' aspect. This relates to Principle 1) but describes it more on a spiritual level. Here, power is sought for one's own purposes rather than God's purposes, with an unwillingness to surrender to God's purposes for oneself.

Resolution Within The Experience Of Love

The development of a capacity for harmony, especially when there are factors present that cause inner resistance, can only take place through the increased experience of love. This experience comes not through personal relationship but through spiritual awakening that causes a fuller knowing of God's love. Harmony is based on the unfoldment of spiritual truth to the awakening consciousness. It is enhanced through all spiritual practices that help one awaken.

The experience of harmony is a corollary of the experience of love and unity which seeks to give to others what each needs and what each rejoices in. It comes into being when there is no longer a need to defend one's own self-interest, but rather when the interests of all are seen as intimately connected with the interests of the self. The absence of the need to defend comes from the revelation of the truer, deeper identity of each self as a Divine creation of God. From this place of identification, defensiveness is no longer needed.

This photo is a testimonial of hearts aligning with the forces of darkness and horror. Even after the women are dead, there are those who would still stone their lifeless blood soaked bodies. Look at the fathers with children on their shoulders in the crowd, watching the women being murdered as one would watch entertainment. This is what separation looks like, this is what mass infections of the energies of darkness upon the hearts of men looks like.

Where respect for the human succumbs to the emotion of contempt -

There we have a 'time of dispersion', a time in which negative energies and feelings are separated from the container of love and conscience that has held them in check. This separation of impulse from forces that would bind it is the meaning of 'dispersion' - an uprooting and acting out of feelings that are opposite to love, caused by the intensification of light that is purifying the earth.

The light that purifies does not cause these feelings to be acted out. Rather, it causes them to come into awareness. Then, each soul has a choice as to how to deal with them. Often, outer circumstance engages the impulses coming into consciousness and serves as a catalyst for their expression. As a result, the dignity of each human life is sacrificed to the impulsive needs of the moment or time, and violence is expressed beyond reason and beyond understanding.

What is possible at a 'time of dispersion' is the twofold awareness of compassion and of hope -

Compassion for those who suffer scorn, brutality, contempt, and violence at the hands of others, and compassion for those who do not yet know what they will reap as a result of such actions.

Hope for the future of the earth and of love.

For as the negative is expressed in all its virulence, so, too, will the positive be expressed in all its radiance. The negative may cover the earth for a time, but the force of light that allows it to be and that fuels the separation which permits it - that same light will bring to the earth an end to 'dispersion', an end to contempt and derision, and the beginning of lasting peace.

Who benefits from the destruction of the ancient cultures and peoples from what we now call the 'Middle East', which has been their home for millennia?

Collectively, the planetary family has been watching, without fully comprehending the scope and breadth, the wholesale destruction of areas of the Middle East and the peoples who populated this region for millennia. Generations of divergent cultures are being killed, starved, raped, and tortured, their homes and lives destroyed en masse, their lands up for grabs. Who and what is behind this destruction?

Who funds and encourages the jihadis of death and despair? Who funds the militaristic destruction of Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, and Syria to name but a few? What is the incremental, yet wholesale destruction and emptying out of the peoples of the Middle East in service to? What is the greater plan which we are watching unfold, thousands and hundreds of thousands of unholy deaths at a time?

The black jihadis of death are a horrific symptom of a deeper consciousness at work. Pawns of a greater plan at work, eager in their willingness to horrifically kill their brothers, sisters, parents, cousins, neighbors, and all who will not bend to their barbaric and twisted ego's, their actions accelerate the emptying out process, as peoples scatter in fear for their lives and those they love.

Cluster bombs, a weapon of mass suffering rained upon the innocent, manifested by the consciousness of embodied souls separated from their hearts, from their very humanity. Separated from beginning to end, from legislature and funding, to all who are involved in the manufacturing, designing, selling, stocking, and deployment of such weapons.

People lay crying in their beds. Little girls, boys, babies, old men and old women, mothers, fathers, uncles, brothers, sisters, and aunties. Shrapnel burning, digging deeper into their skin. Their pain is agony.

Yemen, Nigeria, and Aleppo, the suffering and pain of those hit, beyond horrendous.

Dignity, honor, and respect are not historical values that have outlived their usefulness, but everpresent qualities which maintain the trust that must exist between government and those governed.

Desecration - When an ideal is held in sacred trust as participating in a higher moral or spiritual value, and reasons are given for departing from that ideal or trust and for treating it as if it were not a matter of great importance to maintain it, but rather a matter of convenience - convenience in terms of whether it fits in with the common outlook or with one's personal needs. This makes of the sacred something less than sacred, and simultaneously makes it seem of little consequence that this diminishment is happening.

Such is the energy of desecration.

It is rampant now within the presidential election run-up. It is evident in the ways of speaking and acting of candidates and in the lack of dignity that is present throughout. It is rampant in the lack of dignity and honor given to high public office, and the necessity for maintaining those qualities in those who would hold that office.

We do not act surprised. We have become accustomed to it. We begin to not notice that something that was held in sacred trust is missing.

In place of dignity we witness combativeness and personal aggrandizement. In place of humility we witness aggression. Though candidates differ with respect to the degree in which this energy is manifested, some having little and others a great deal, there is, among all, a valuing of aggressiveness rather than honor, of winning rather than maintaining one's own integrity, of fierceness rather than kindness. It may even have become impossible for us to consider kindness to be a virtue among political leaders or would-be leaders. It may be that respect and tolerance, gentleness and non-aggression have all come to be seen as weakness.

The nobility of high public office has been handed down to us not only by the Founding Fathers of our Constitution, but also by the blood that has been shed by those who sought liberty, even at the expense of their own lives - those whose lives were given to the Declaration which gave voice to the motives that birthed a nation. These are the words with which the Declaration of Independence ends:

"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."

We who follow centuries later are also called to pledge ourselves and our sacred honor to maintain the high ideals upon which this country was founded. What this means in today's reiteration and translation is that the founding ideals of this nation must matter to us. The honor of government office must be upheld by those who hold it and those who seek it. Dignity, honor, and respect are not historical values that have outlived their usefulness, but everpresent qualities which maintain the trust that must exist between government and those governed. We cannot afford to relinquish these values and must seek them in those who claim to seek from us support for their aspirations. As we do this, as we do not permit the energy of desecration to sweep through us without our notice, we raise the level of debate in this country and establish a new standard for what winning an election means, a standard that is not based on combat and aggression, but on truth, honor, worthiness, and dignity.

WORDS AND ENERGY: DEVELOPING A FEELING FOR TRUTH

Dear Beloved Ones,

Words are powerful conveyors of energy, both the energy of their meaning and the energy of their intent or source. Yet, often the energy of meaning of common and easily recognized words and the source from which they come diverge, and it seems to us then that a person may not be speaking the truth, even though the words are the correct and desired or appropriate ones.

That this separation of meaning from intention can be true is a function of the psyche’s complex and layered motives, some part known to the speaker of words and some part hidden from conscious awareness. For example, a person may speak of love and say “I love you,” yet there may be little love present in their voice. Similarly, one may speak of sacred things, things that are of the Spirit such as ‘God’ or ‘light,’ and yet the feeling that they carry may not be one of reverence, love, and humility, but rather of ego, and sometimes even of aggression.

Each soul develops in their own way at their own pace through time, and so the way in which one person uses words will be different than the way that another does, corresponding to their level of development and their level of self-awareness, both of which allow inner integration to take place. That one person’s words may carry a different meaning or intent than another even while the words remain the same can be disconcerting if we do not know that energy accompanies words, and that we may be aware of the energy that words carry even though we do not register it in our conscious minds.

Such awareness conveys a feeling about something rather than a thought about something. Knowing that words carry energy we can develop a ‘feeling for truth,’ the truth not only of what is being said but of the energy behind it which may or may not correspond to the content. Registering both energy and content is an important area of discernment for all who are growing in light, and all who seek the light of truth in order to make decisions about how to live.

Political rhetoric, for example, provides us with a collective vocabulary that we have become accustomed to, one which allows us to see, hear, and feel what is sometimes the separation between words that are used to persuade, and the energy that the words carry. Words such as ‘serve,’ ‘care,’ or ‘hope’ may declare a person’s outer intentions, the intentions they wish to convey, and yet the feeling behind the words may be that they are self-serving, that there is more ego or self-interest involved than is being acknowledged.

It is similar with spiritual language. Words describing one’s spiritual life, beliefs, and experiences can be spoken in a way that conveys a depth of spiritual truth, or the same words can be spoken in a way that causes doubt to arise in us concerning the veracity of the one speaking. This may be particularly true of words of love or devotion, where strong positive expressions may be used to suggest feeling, and yet no positive feeling can be felt by us. When we register within ourselves that even in the presence of words of love we do not feel love, we may conclude as a possibility that we are perceiving the gap between the meaning of words and the energy they carry.

As we grow in understanding we learn to listen. We learn to hear correctly. We also learn to trust our senses more so that we believe and validate what our sensory impressions tell us. We develop a ‘feeling for truth.’ In this area, our own inner Guide must be the teacher, for no two people hear things exactly alike, and we must learn to trust and believe our own perceptions.

How do we do this?

We do this by becoming clear and by practicing clarity. By learning to witness and to separate from our own emotions, judgments, and projections, we develop clarity of mind and of heart. By entering a space that is both non-judgmental and open, we allow ourselves to meet words with an intuition of their meaning and purpose. First, we must be clear. Second, we must seek the energy behind the words, knowing that it is always there and that it is a unique property of the speaker and the emotional/mental/spiritual circumstances that are giving rise to words.

Over time, we learn to affirm our own truth. This, however, does not tell us what ‘to do’ about our perceptions. What we ‘do’ about what we hear is a function of our soul-purpose, individual circumstances, inner guidance, and of our love. For love guarantees more than any other feeling that how we respond to words used by others will be understanding rather than accusatory, compassionate rather than blaming. This does not mean that we allow ourselves to be deceived or to let go of our intuitive perceptions. We can continue to be discerning and steadfast in relation to the truth that we feel, and at the same time extend love to the soul within, rather than to the words that feel false or misleading. In some instances we remain silent. In others, we are guided from within to participate in a more active way in a healing relationship with individuals, with groups, or with the world as a whole.

Each of us is gifted with the ability to perceive truth. When we become clear enough, when we listen deeply enough, when we attune to the energy that is present within all of life, then words convey to us a deeper understanding of who we are with and how life is being conducted. This is a task for those who seek to serve life. It is the responsibility to discern the highest motives that operate in any situation - motives linked with love for all, to reject lower motives, and to follow the higher to the best of our ability. This is the path of light and it is open to all beings as a property of their soul. It is up to each one to determine how to travel on this path, this path that is also the journey Home.
