Hello Dear Readers,
Yes, I have been resting.
And, I felt guided to post. I wondered if some who have come to witness the Blessed are the Children post, might have thought, well that was last year after reading this morning about the loss of an innocent soul Buthainia Aziz who it has been shared, left the planet as many of the children in Gaza have left, violently. Her blessed essence of purity and innocence has been with me all day. An aspect of my meditation on Buthainia Aziz and the children of Gaza has been on the experience of innocence and the energies of darkness. Thirdly, I have briefly left my silent retreat as it occurred to me that if someone has come and seen the post Blessed are the Children and they haven’t been following recent events, then the posting of Blessed are the Children may have been shocking, or too intense.
So for both you and I, Dear Readers, I have gathered some of GurujiMa’s Teachings on innocence and the energies of darkness.
with love.Blessed are the Children, Beloveds of God.0:

[center] * * *...So helplessness is a fundamental part of human experience, but fear has gotten connected with it because of the separation from trust in the Source of life. And the sense of embeddedness, (and that’s an important word — ‘embeddedness’) — in the physical dimension of reality, embeddedness in the physical, tactile, touch, vision, sound, all the things we identify with their physical — substituted for embeddedness in God. Picture that. You have that immersion in the physical reality, and if you think how strong that is, then you can project, hypothetically, that embeddedness could be in God instead of in physical reality. And that’s what human beings are meant to have, to have that sense of being given what has been by many spiritual teachers and observers to be active in the playground of life. The playground, which too many people to heal does not feel like a playground, but I’m using the word ‘playground’ because it’s been used in spiritual texts often. You feel that you’ve been given this gift of being here in the playground of life, where so many rich experiences are possible.
But, if you are afraid of helplessness, then your capacity to absorb what’s good and what’s not good, well, there it is. There becomes a duality and only certain experiences within life seem acceptable, and the others need to be rejected. That phenomenon of splitting into those things that can be accepted and those things that need to be rejected because they convey a feeling of helplessness — that duality comes from one thing alone: fear, created by the loss of direct connection with the Source of life. That is the only thing that creates that duality, and in principle, to the extent that that duality vantages through the regaining of light and connection with Source, then helplessness doesn’t have to be feared any more than anything else. It’s just a phenomenon of waiting for something to show itself in terms of where things need to go.
If fear is not present, then you’re just in a state of unknowing, and waiting, without fear about “What does this mean?” and “I don’t have to know the answer to this. It’s an unfolding process of knowing. I can wait, and assume that God is holding this, and that what the meaning or the particular unfoldment of this helplessness, will reveal itself.”Giving Helplessness to Godhttps://lightomega.org/audio/giving-hel ... hway-home/* * *...PTSD is not a disease of the body. Nor is it a disease of the mind. Rather, it is a symptom of the limitation of a heart that has been stretched to its limit in order to regulate the emotions of fear, confusion, rage, and helplessness brought about by a circumstance or circumstances that it could not prevent. Under normal conditions, the heart has a way of taking instruction from the mind so that it receives guidelines about what to believe about such circumstances and how to hold them in a way that gives them believability and credibility. But under the circumstance of severe and ongoing trauma or of a single traumatic incident of great intensity, the heart no longer believes that there is any explanation that is credible for what it is feeling or perceiving, and no longer knows how it will survive the need to continue enduring what cannot be explained. This is a perception of the heart rather than the mind, for the mind may hold explanations, but these do not appear to make a difference to the heart.
Often, one who has experienced severe trauma — whether on a battlefield, in a violent or cruel relationship, as a victim of sudden brutality, terror, or horror, or, as a witness of severe violence done to others — first becomes numb to these circumstances as a way of turning down the volume of nervous system overload that is a result of the situation. However, when numbing is not possible, either because the situation continues without let-up at the same high level of intensity and the body’s fear responses are continuously activated, or, because the sense of disbelief and shock have already taken hold, and one has already begun to feel that nothing makes sense, symptoms of PTSD can begin to be observed.
The violence and horror that are the general precursors to PTSD can occur in many forms. They can occur through one’s own being the subject of cruelty, abuse, or horror, or they can occur through witnessing someone else or a group of others in this role. The heart, having come to the end of its capacity to tolerate the pain of its own experience, begins to look for ways to compensate for the amount of distress it is feeling so that its very survival can continue.Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: A Spiritual Perspectivehttps://lightomega.org/writing/post-tra ... -violence/* * *For the departing soul — the child who dies suddenly — there are always helpers who assist that soul to make the transition to the higher planes of light. Some souls who die suddenly go through a period of shock and need to be helped through this transition. For those left behind, there is searing grief, confusion, shock, and anger as well as the spiritual understandings that the heart connected with the soul tries to anchor in. These understandings do not remove the pain. Rather, they create a container in which to hold it so that it can be absorbed more gently. Here are some aspects of these understandings:
1. First, that many souls who die young, in fact most, have chosen, on the soul-level, to live a brief life for purposes only known to the soul. For these, the manner of death is also chosen as part of the soul’s learning. This latter is incomprehensible to the human understanding but known to the soul.
2. Second, there are certain souls, and they are few, who fall prey to the karma of the one committing violence against them, not because they have planned such a death in advance, but because they get caught up in a wider circle of karmic interactions from which they cannot be extricated. This circumstance is rarer, though it does happen, and in the cases where it does happen, the event of such an unforeseen conclusion to a life is always translated in some unknowable way into an aspect of growth that will appear later on in the soul’s maturation.
3. Third, there are numerous souls who have volunteered to come to the Earth at this time of transition, who knowingly and willingly have agreed to help by encountering the forces of darkness that are doing battle at this time with expanding forces of light. This battle operates at both a planetary level and within individuals as well, where it may create an internal conflict that becomes more and more virulent between forces of light and their influence on the psyche, and forces of darkness and their influence on the same. Within vulnerable individuals, individuals whose motivations are not firmly enough anchored in the values of the heart due to their heart energy having been covered over by existing negative forces, there can come a time when they lose the small separation that has existed between their own inner experience and the thoughts created by influencing energies. At such times unexpected behaviors may result. .
...Souls who have come in service may not know in what manner they will engage with the darkness that is present on the Earth, but have volunteered to be here in whatever way will be helpful. They have come for this purpose, to serve the Earth, and on a soul level know that the path of their service will be created within their own individual lives.
For those experiencing the shock and loss that is natural to the human heart in the presence of the violation of innocence, and especially for those whose loss is personal, intimate, and devastating, there is no explanation that will suffice. What is needed above all in this time of pain is the willingness to trust that beyond pain, beyond death, beyond what seems like the power of darkness to create havoc with lives, God is holding all, and it is God’s Divine embrace of love that has allowed souls to come in service in the first place and that will allow the healing that is needed to take place.
May we who share in this tragedy stand steadfastly with the values of the human heart and compassionately with the suffering of its pain, even while we hold trust in the life of the soul and in the goodness of God and of life. The Sudden Death of Children — Tragedy in Newtown Elementary Schoolhttps://lightomega.org/writing/death-of ... loss-devas* * * As we move along a spiritual path, any path, it comes to be known to us that spirituality is inside, and is not dependent upon any event happening. By not acting out energies of darkness while holding them in Divine light, one becomes free. The Principle of Containment https://lightomega.org/writing/purifica ... -energies/* * *Just as the darkness is strengthening on the world stage, so, too, is light strengthening — light whose intensity is, in fact, calling forth the darkness. Holding Steadfast to the Light https://lightomega.org/writing/remainin ... -darkness/* * * Fear develops naturally, one might say instinctively, in the presence of vulnerability and helplessness. Sometimes trust is also present, but often not. Fear expands in the presence of anticipated threat, and can vary in intensity from mild discomfort and edginess, to marked anxiety, to outright terror. In any human life, fear is likely to be experienced at some point, and whether trust will also be present will depend, to a large extent, on an individual’s spiritual anchoring. This anchoring creates an antidote to the experience of fear.
There is, however, another way of dealing with fear that is not through spiritual anchoring and trust. It is through the calling into expression, resources of power and aggression. The origin of the trait we call “being a bully,” for example, is not based on real strength. It is based on inner weakness and a sense of vulnerability, and the determination to combat this vulnerability through outer belligerence and aggression.
…Trust is both a psychological and a spiritual attitude. On the spiritual level, it has to do with the power of love. On the psychological level, the level of the ego, it is attained through putting in place internal and external structures of defense that maintain security and safety. This is how the ego experiences trust. It looks around and sees what exists within itself and outside the self that can provide a bulwark against harm. From this vantage point, the more structures that guarantee security, the better. From this vantage point, too, a ‘pre-emptive war’ on terrorism is the highest form of defense — the highest form of establishing control of threat. It wipes it out before it even begins. It wipes it out because it could begin.
Trust of a different kind could only have existed had there been another visible alternative to unilateral action in pursuit of justice. Spiritually speaking, such an alternative is always present, but its value and priority must be steeped in our consciousness in order for us to find a viable, outer application and expression of this value.
…To become conscious is to know that there is a big difference between experiencing fear in response to an actual event, and having fear be engendered about a possible event. What is based on a real circumstance can be modified by other real options — through a re-directed, reconsidered Middle East policy, through a debate among nations and a greater commitment to the United Nations, through greater adherence to international law as the context for our response to threat, and through determination to remain committed to world peace, even in the face of threat. This is not what we have done.
As a nation, we have responded to threat through counter-threat, to danger, by endangering others, to the desire for revenge upon us, with the seeking of revenge upon all who threaten us. We have pursued war, and we have cultivated fear. The ‘Bush Doctrine’ and the Cultivation of Fearhttps://lightomega.org/writing/bush-doc ... deterrent/* * * More than a thought, innocence is a counter-force to darkness. The Way of Innocence https://lightomega.org/audio/anchoring- ... pposition/* * *Innocence is so important during this time — the willingness to learn, the willingness to grow. Innocence and love create a path through all difficulty, one that does not align with darkness that may be surrounding you, but that cleaves to the light as the support and mainstay of every action and every decision. New Waves of Healing and Purification https://lightomega.org/writing/new-spir ... -emotions/* * *There is only one underlying reality that invisibly upholds and penetrates all of existence. It may be given different names, described differently, and experienced through the unique prism of each soul’s consciousness. Yet in essence it is One, and there is no other.
This Unity is the ultimate truth, yet within this Unity as an interdimensional reality are forces of light and darkness that are part of the structure of Creation. These forces manifested when all things emerged and differentiated themselves from within the Un-named One. Light and darkness are cosmic forces as well as energies that exist within human consciousness. As such, they have intentionality, will, and the capacity to influence human affairs.
…In myth and legend alike, the force of darkness is pictured in its essence as a deceiver — a manipulator of disguises. Its primary tool is to masquerade as something else while at the same time seeking control over the human psyche. Often the process of deception takes place within the mind which is presented ‘reasonable’ ideas about why something is not true. While sometimes reasonable ideas serve the purposes of reason and scientific methodology, in other instances and particularly where it concerns matters of the heart and soul, ‘reasonable’ ideas may serve to deny the heart’s reality and to interfere with the perception of the truth of the soul. This manipulation can be quite powerful, and yet because each embodied soul has access to its heart and to the higher levels of its being, such illusion on the level of the mind can be countered by efforts to remain aligned with a deeper truth.
Man’s capacity to listen to the voice of darkness is great, but so is his capacity to listen to the voice of his heart and to render it the prime mover in his life. In the presence of the heart’s determination to love and to remain steadfast in a place of love, darkness is rendered ineffective and can gain no entry. For darkness and love are incompatible in essence, and so where one exists, the other cannot. Therefore, in order to counteract the effect of the energies of darkness, it is essential to know how to remain aligned with love. This intention carries one into the domain of spiritual practice and spiritual consciousness. For alignment with light and love becomes a doorway into a sacred life. And the choices that are part of that sacred life are everyday choices — those that can be made with greater alignment with love, and those that can be made with lesser.Light and Darkness, Part III: Lovehttps://lightomega.org/writing/light-an ... nner-self/[/center
