Away in the rubble
no one may come for their dead,
the little Palestinian children
crushed in their beds.
Away in the rubble
shot in the chest and the head
the little Palestinian children
bulldozed or left for dead.
Away in the rubble
a stone cold crypt for their beds
the little Palestinian children
attacked relentlessly til dead.

Yes, Dear Readers, these collages are large.
When creating these collages of the blessed children, it was in my heart to do so for those whose eyes and hearts might care to perceive each child, each parent, each helper, with their love. So much is hidden from our view, a most horrific of all horrors is the intentional slaughtering of children compounded by the unfathomable, aide workers or family members seeking to retrieve their bodies for burial, are often targeted by at by snipers and drones. It has been a military tactic to leave the bodies to rot as the Palestinians of Gaza have been intentionally mischaracterized as an ancient and long deceased tribe called Amalek (from the Mitzvot Commandments) and ‘Animals’.
In these collages, I share but a few of the photos my heart has felt compelled to save in memory of Gazan Palestinian children carelessly murdered this year. As far as I am aware, the little boy in the grey shirt is still alive as far as I am aware, (bottom right corner - Christmas in Gaza 2024 1). This child was part of a recent children’s play group for trauma recovery, they were singing, and playing, laughing and then Israeli troops bombed them.
The child in me adores the innocence and wonder of Christmas. I feel deeply that the care of children, all children is our collective responsibility. Christmas and daily prayers for the suffering of the children of Palestine, the birthplace of the child Jesus of Nazareth, borne in Bethlehem, Palestine.
May we be forgiven for allowing intentional massacres and deaths of Palestinian, Lebanese, Yemeni, Syrian, Iraqi, Congolese, Sudanese children, all children.
Amen.0:
